Food Security

Our Swa’adna al-souria Organization (SAO) contributes to the emergency response to disasters caused by the bombing and siege of cities and villages, and those caused by displacement and forced displacement of families towards safer places, and other disasters such as natural disasters (earthquake).
During disasters, many families lose their ability to secure daily food in appropriate quantities and qualities, as many also lose their homes, and cannot access the necessary medical care. Humanitarian needs increase in the winter season, so there is an urgent need to provide heating fuel, its supplies, and adequate shelter for displaced families.
Our Swa’adna al-souria Organization (SAO) provides food and non-food aids (hygiene items, heating supplies, household items) for families in need, especially those who are displaced or have lost their breadwinners or large families.
The organization helps patients access medical care and supports displaced families to obtain adequate housing.

The organization

• Food assistance: providing regular food baskets, ready meals for shelters and group accommodation, and food baskets for malnourished children.
• Non-food aid: providing detergent baskets, personal hygiene material baskets, sterilization baskets for protection against coronavirus, and heating fuel and some supplies (heaters, blankets, mattresses, carpets).
• Housing assistance: payment of rent costs to displaced families.
• Medical assistance: providing medical care costs to patients.
